Risks, Disclosures & Aftercare
Select a service above to view the relevant disclosures.
Eyelash Extensions
- Cyanoacrylate adhesive fumes may cause temporary eye watering or mild irritation during application.
- Allergic reactions — though rare — can include redness, swelling, itching, or contact dermatitis. Symptoms may appear 24–72 hours post-service. Contact the studio immediately if this occurs.
- Natural lash shedding is normal and does not indicate damage. Extensions do not cause permanent lash loss when properly applied and maintained.
- Results vary based on natural lash length, texture, and growth cycle. Adorn Artistry Studio cannot guarantee a specific outcome if your natural lashes are very sparse or damaged.
- Aftercare Do not pick, rub, or pull at extensions. Use only lash-safe cleansers near the eye area.
Brow Lamination
- Brow lamination uses a thioglycolate-based perming solution to chemically restructure brow hairs. This solution can cause irritation in sensitive individuals.
- Temporary redness, skin sensitivity, or mild tingling in the brow area is possible. This typically resolves within a few hours.
- Previously damaged or very fine brow hairs may appear drier or frizzier post-service. Consistent conditioning is essential for maintaining results.
- Results typically last 4–8 weeks. Individual results depend on hair type, texture, and how closely aftercare is followed.
- If a tint is included, skin staining in the brow area is normal and fades within 24–72 hours.
- Absolute Contraindications The service cannot proceed if you have active skin infection, open wounds, or broken skin in the brow area; are currently on isotretinoin (Accutane) or have completed a course within the past 6 months; have a known allergy to thioglycolate or perming solutions; or are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation.
- Relative Contraindications Adorn Artistry Studio will assess and advise if you use retinol, retinal, retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, or any acids — please stop all such products 5–7 days before your appointment; have had microblading or permanent makeup within the past 4 weeks; have eczema, psoriasis, or rosacea in the brow area; or are pregnant.
- Aftercare Keep brows completely dry for 24 hours. Avoid steam, saunas, hot showers, and sweaty activity. Keep brows hydrated daily — use a brow conditioning serum or nourishing balm every day to maintain softness and longevity of your results. Avoid retinoids and exfoliants on the brow area for 2 weeks post-service.
